Coffee Break at WMC for Greek Independence Day
As you enjoy Greek Independence Day and the Greek DJ’s playing in Miami during WMC I’m sure you’ll be thinking about Greece.
Miami is great but as Greeks we know beach life, coffee culture and you’ll be missing the café lifestyle of Greece unless you head over to Espaniola Way.
The old Spanish quarters of Miami will definitely give you a Mediterranean vibe. The buildings, Cyprus trees, cobble stone streets and its cafe will make you feel like you’re in the Med. This is Miami’s most perfect café for Greeks.
A La Folie is French but its authentic ingredients will remind you of common sandwiches, salads and entrees you enjoy throughout Europe. All the backgammon boards start to tip the scale to a more Greek feel but either way you’re transported away from the US.
Because of the conference this might be the best place for recovery from last night. Grab some coffee, a sandwich, relax a little under the shade and get your energy back for the night ahead.
For a more relaxing night try to find an evening where they show black and white French movies projected on its side patio wall. It’s like the old days in Greece where the local kafenio would play a movie once a month projected on its exterior wall while you ordered beers and souvlakia.
